The Rollout
From signed-off to selling, in two weeks.
Most cafés we onboard go from first delivery to a live, profitable smoothie menu inside 14 days. Here’s how the time is spent.
Week 01 · Set up
Stock, price, train.
Goal: by day 7, your kitchen is stocked, your price is set, and your team has run the recipe at least three times.
Days 1–2 · Trial delivery arrive
10kg, cold-chain, dispatched Monday–Wednesday only.
Day 3 · Cost-per-cup signed off
Use the spec sheet worksheet. Lock your menu price.
Days 4–5 · Staff training
Tear, tip, blend, serve. Five minutes per team member.
Days 6–7 · Soft test
Quietly serve to staff, friends, regulars. Confirm taste and consistency.
Week 02 · Launch
Menu, market, measure.
Goal: by day 14, smoothies are on your menu, on your socials, and you have one week of real sell-through to read.
Days 8–9 · Menu update
Add the line on your menu board, online ordering, and printed menus.
Day 10 · Public launch
One Instagram post, one Story, one in-store sign. That's enough.
Days 11–13 · Sell-through
Track cups sold per day. Use the tracker in the spec sheet.
Day 14 · Reorder
Volume tier kicks in at 2+ boxes per week. Margins improve from here.
Old Way vs New Way
Side by side, the difference is uncomfortable.
Most café owners tell us they “kind of know” smoothies are leaking margin. Putting it on paper makes the gap impossible to ignore.
The Old Way
Fresh fruit + free-pour
- Cost-per-cup floats between €1.40 and €2.60
- 18–25% shrink from rotting fruit
- 2–3 minutes of paid prep per cup
- Different taste, colour and texture every shift
- Onboarding new staff takes hours
- Margin is whatever's left after waste
FrostFruits
The FrostFruits Way
Fresh fruit + free-pour
- Locked cost-per-cup: €1.28–1.40 all-in · trade pricing on request
- Zero shrink — frozen up to 24 months
- 30 seconds, packet to blender
- Identical cup, every shift, every staff member
- New staff trained in under five minutes
- 65–70% gross margin protected from day one
What ships
Built for the kitchen reality.
Each pack is engineered for daily café service. The packaging itself does some of the work — clear labelling, tamper-evident seal, freezer-stable down to −22°C.
Pre-portioned net weight
Zero portion drift. The same cost on Monday morning as on Saturday night.
IQF — Individually Quick Frozen
Each piece freezes separately. Pours clean, blends smooth, never clumps.
24-month frozen shelf life
Stock confidently. No more dumping fruit at the end of the week.
Sourced through our cold-chain partners
Traceable, audited, and delivered through our own cold-chain network across Ireland.
Honest Answers
The questions café owners actually ask us.
No fluff. Click any question to expand.
Do I need a high-power blender?
A standard commercial blender (Vitamix, Blendtec, JTC Omniblend or similar) handles all three blends. If you're already making smoothies, you have what you need. If you're not, budget €350–600 for a kitchen-grade unit.
What's the minimum order?
First trial is 10kg, delivered cold. From your second order, the volume tier (2+ boxes per week) kicks in and your cost per kg drops. 14-day credit applies from order two onwards.
How is it delivered?
Through our own cold-chain partners, nationwide. Frozen dispatches go out Monday to Wednesday only — that's a hard rule to protect product integrity. Order by Friday for the following week.
Can I customise the blends?
For multi-location accounts (4+ sites) we can build a custom blend at our cost-minus-€0.20/kg strategic tier. For single sites, the three signature blends cover what the Irish café market actually buys.
What about freezer space?
A 10kg trial fits in a single shelf of a standard upright commercial freezer. We'll size your weekly order to your storage during onboarding so you don't over-buy.
Trade price vs cup cost — what's the difference?
Your trade pack price (what you pay us) covers the IQF blend itself — exact rate depends on volume, location count and account tier, so we send a tailored quote when you open a trade account. Your cup cost (€1.28–1.40 all-in) adds liquid base, cup, lid and straw on top. Sell at €4.50–6.00 to lock 65–70% gross margin.
